“I like doing the lemonade stand. It was so much fun!” I made one at home with my money at home.”
“ You should never say you can’t. Just say I need help or I don’t know.”
“Teacher Phala, I am going to try. I am never going to give up! See I wrote my letters.”
“I’m going to share my food with my friend if they want to eat it because sharing is caring.”
“Can I be the teacher? I want to say Assalamu Alaikum to everyone, even the moms and dads just like you.”
“Never take a prize without asking the teacher or anything from the class. Even if no one sees, “Allah sees everything.”
One day a girl entered the classroom before anyone else including the teacher. When I asked her who she was saying it to, she said, “I am saying it to Allah and the angels!”
“I love it when you do PE with us! I love how you let us be the PE teacher!”
A girl said, “Jazakullah” everyday. When I asked her why she says it, she said, “You do everything for me, so I have to say thank you.”
“I’m never going to say I hate bugs anymore even if I am afraid.” When I asked why, the student said, “They are Allah’s creations, and we shouldn’t hate anything from Allah.”
One day we made smoothies and we almost ran out. One student told another student, “You can have the cup. I’ll wait for the next one.” When I complimented her and asked her why she did that, she said, “That’s what the prophet used to do.”
A kid fell down on the playground and another kid rushed to his side asking “Are you okay?” She reached out her hand to help the other stand up and gave the kid a hug and let the other kid put their arm around her to help them walk. When I asked the kids why they didn’t help and why she was the only one, she said, “I remember you said to always help someone who gets hurt!”
One kid left his lunch at home. The boy sitting next to him said, “I’ll share my lunch so he doesn’t get sad.” The boy proceeded to tear his sandwich in half.
